Improvised macro photography

Improvised macro photography. I took an old, crappy 2x teleconverter that I got free with a Zeiss Tessar, ripped out the optics from it and was left with a neat extension tube. Free macro lens, yay! The horizontal area in the original photo (I cropped this) was just about 25mm wide, which is about the same width as my sensor, giving me a reproduction ratio here of just under 1:1.

Tech trivia: Canon EOS D30, ISO 100 at 1/125, Helios 44M-4 58mm at about f/11
